About the Course
Week 1: Refrigeration Electrical - Students will start at the very basics of electricity and electrical theory, then will move into the lab to wire various circuits in a hands-on setting. We will then move into electrical troubleshooting with an emphasis on order of operations.
Week 1: Refrigeration Fundamentals - Students will start learning about theory behind a refrigeration cycle and the basics of a refrigeration system.
Week 2: Refrigeration Fundamentals, continued - Students will transition into troubleshooting and maintenance best practices of a refrigeration system. Troubleshooting will be emphasized in a hands-on lab setting. High, medium, and low temperature systems will be covered. Ice maker training also included with an emphasis on service and troubleshooting best practices. Brazing, recovery, evacuation, and pump down best practices will be covered in a hands on lab setting.
Certifications offered: (not guaranteed to pass the exam) EPA 608 certification, ESCO Low GWP Refrigerants Certification
